If you have an idea for a project not in this list, you should

1) Formulate a clear and focused question you want to address. (Not of the kind "I want to write about..."). Your question should be interesting, without a preconceived answer, and historical. Ideally, it should be mathematical with a broader scope.

2) Discuss this with me before starting working on the question. I may give you some suggestions to improve your question.

The quality of your question will be a factor in the assessment of your project!
