This essay gives up to 4 points. Another 2 points can be earned through peer review, and 2 more points if the essay if you give a good response to the peer review comments are adequately addressed. Together with the points from essay 4, these can replace part C of the exam.

Sketch the development of Euclid's parallel postulate and its criticism from Euclid to the 19th century.
