You will look at how to perform registration (i.e. alignment) of RGB-D camera images. You will look at doing it frame-to-frame with and without feature descriptors and you will look at formulating it as an optimization problem over all frames. You will get some code skeleton to start from. For performance reasons, the assignment is best done on native Linux (hard drive ok, VM not ok)
Tools you will use: OpenCV, PCL and Google Ceres
Background: Good knowledge of C++, helpful with computer vision experience
