Final Exam

The final exam will be held at 14:00 - 16:00, on October 23, see schedule for location(s). Total time for writing the exam will be 2 hours. Students will be assigned to a specific room. All students must be on location before 14:00!

Rules

The standard KTH ruleset for exams applies to the exam. In addition, please note the following rules specific to this exam:

  1. No textbooks, notes or other information sources are allowed.

Re-exam

The re-exam will be held in December (see schedule for details).  As with the regular exam, no aids will be allowed. The grading rules below apply to both the regular exam and the re-exam.

Grading

The exam is graded with Pass or Fail. The maximum score on the exam is 100 pts. Your bonus points from quizzes and assignments will be added to the score you achieve on the exam questions. The following grades will be given based on this sum:

Sum s of bonus points and exam score Given grade
LaTeX: \mathbf{s} \geq 80s80 P
LaTeX: 80 \gt \mathbf{s} \geq 7080>s70 Fx
LaTeX: 70 \gt \mathbf{s}70>s F

Students who receive a Fx grade on the exam will be given a chance to complete the grade up to a P. This is done by an oral examination where the student will be asked to explain in detail one of the questions from the exam. The question will be chosen by the examiner, and not disclosed prior to the oral exam, thus requiring the student to familiarize themselves with all questions from the exam.

Topics and reading

The exam will cover material from the lectures, and material described under the topic "Reading material" for each module.
