In this course we will cover introduction into chaotic dynamical systems, topics may cover the following: 

-Dynamics in one dimension

-Expanding maps and coding, the cat map. 

-Topological dynamical properties: minimality, transitivity, topological entropy, mixing

-Stability

-Hyperbolic dynamical systems, stable and unstable manifolds, horseshoes.

Readings and homework assignments

We will post weekly readings here.  The homework problems will be posted under "assignments" and will be submitted and graded via Canvas. 

There will be one final exam at the end of the course.
