Support for students with disabilities

Students who received a recommendation for support that requires an active acceptance by the examiner must apply for that by using at web form at the course start. This form can be found at https://www.kth.se/en/student/studentliv/funktionsnedsattning/anmalan-att-anvanda-kompensatoriskt-stod-vid-examination-1.942965

Before you fill the form, please read carefully the information about which kinds of support you have to apply for actively, and which kinds of support are provided automatically by TentaFunka. For the latter, you do not need to apply.

Course specific compensatory support:

For the exam:

No requirement to fill out the form (Links to an external site.):

  1. The following compensatory support will always be accepted - arrangements will automatically be made by Tentafunka:

  • Arrangements regarding room, time or physical constraints, like for example longer writing time, special room or medical arrangements.

  1. The following compensatory support will be accepted, given it will be arranged by Tentafunka

  • Write on a computer (only computers from Tentafunka are accepted)

  • Dictionary (English/Swedish), but no mathematical reference works besides the ones accepted for all students

Support that always has to be applied for via form (Links to an external site.):

  1. The following support will be accepted, given that the student has applied for it until the deadline (25 November kl. 23:59) using the application form (Links to an external site.).

  • Special print of the exam (contrast, size, ...)

  • Exam read to student (this only applies to text, i.e. no formulas will be read out loud)

Special support that will not be accepted:

  • References and other aids other than the ones stated on the exam. 

  • Oral examination instead of written one
    Not allowed since this will change the nature of the examination.

Grade improvement (plussning):

Grade improvement is possible (special rules for bonus points apply, they can only be used once). If Tentafunka does not arrange or is not responsible for compensatory support, then the grade improvement will happen without compensatory support.
