Using published graphics
Copyright regulations apply to images, drawings and graphs from publications. It is not sufficient to state the source of a copied figure. Instead, one of the following criteria should be fulfilled:
- Permission to use the graphics from the copyright holder (publisher, author) has been obtained and this is stated in the report.
- The graphics has a CC license. The source should be acknowledged in the report together with the type of CC license.
- An own version of the graphics is created and the original source is credited as "based on"/"adapted from" etc.
