WASP Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 2022

Dear students,

Welcome to the AI & ML course.

The course is organized into three modules. A module on AI and general AI methods, a module on mathematics for machine learning, and a module on machine learning methods.

As this is the first time this course is offered, the material (lectures and assignments) will appear on canvas during the Spring.

All lectures are recorded, and can be viewed by the students at any time once they are made available.

For the first module – All lecture material for the first module will be available by March 29th. It will consist of a number of prerecorded lectures. There will also be optional interactive sessions where students can talk to the teacher, ask questions, and interact with each other. The interactive sessions are:

The  [assignment for Module 1] has a preferred deadline for April 25th

 

For the second module – lecture material will be completely available by April 28th . The material will be recorded live and students are able to attend the live lecture and recording session  (optional) that is on April 25, 26, 27, 28th. The exact times for the live lectures are

The assignment for Module 2 has a deadline for May 30th.

For the third module, lecture material will be completely available by May 13th. There will also be live recording sessions that students can attend (optional). The dates for the recording sessions are:

The assignment for Module 3 has a tentative deadline for Module 3 - June 15th. The assignment is available here. It is a notebook that you can open by going here and select File - open notebook. Good luck! 

Assignments/Examination

For each module, there will be  mandatory assignments to complete. The assignment will be available after the lecture series for each module has been posted. The deadline for the assignments will be set as the course progresses.  Here are the deadlines, for now:

Module 1 - Deadline April 25th.

Module 2 - Deadline May 30th

Module 3 - Deadline June 15th. 

We are very much looking forward to our course with you. Even though we moved to an online and distance setting this term due to the uncertainty around the pandemic restrictions, we look forward to our interactions.
