Using zoom
General zoom info
We use Zoom for all lectures and labs.
General information for KTH students using zoom can be found here.
Please note that we record the zoom lectures, and therefore you should keep your microphone and camera turned off. If you want to ask any questions during the lecture, please use the chat function and send to all participants.
For one-on-one help with labs, feel free to use camera and/or microphone for easier communication.
Setting up the viewing window for a lecture
The default view in zoom is something like this:
Move your mouse over 'view options', to the right of the green box labeled 'You are viewing Christian Smith's screen'. This will open a menu, where you can choose 'side-by-side mode':
Your screen will now look like this ('gallery mode'):
Now, hover your mouse over the upper right part, and find the option labeled 'Speaker view'.
When you choose 'speaker view', the right side becomes only the speaker (teacher). You can pull the divider to change the relative size of the presentation and the teacher.
