Q. What browser should I use for this course?

A. We support the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. Find details, including troubleshooting tips in our student guide on Supported Browsers

Q. What can I do to improve video playback?

A. Check your browser settings and ensure the security setting isn't so high that the videos are blocked. Visit the guide on browser settings and scroll down to the section on "Browser Privacy Settings."

Q. What can I do to focus on the discussion topics created by the instructors?

A. Use the links to discussion topics found in Modules. This will help you stay focused on the course content without the distraction of the busy/active/swarming discussion forums.

Q. Is this course graded? Will I receive a grade?

A. This course is not graded. You will, however, be able to check you learning in various places throughout the course. See the Course Syllabus for more information.

Q. Will I receive a Certificate for completing the course?

A. We are working on this! More details will be provided soon.  We know you are busy and want to provide you with an opportunity to participate as little or as much as you want, with no pressure for completion, so we will keep the requirements simple and easy. To receive a Certificate of Completion, you need to complete satisfactorily all quizzes with a grade of 80% or higher and all projects, even though these projects will not be graded.

Q. How do I contact the professor or course manager?

A. Use the Contact the Instructor Forum to ask the instructor course content-related questions and use the Course Support Forum for course logistics questions, Canvas features, and support. The instructor and the course manager will be monitoring these forums daily to address the needs of all students.

Q. I need technical help. What do I do?

A. Post to the 'Course Support Forum' and we'll get back to you. Be as descriptive as you can: such as what type of computer (PC, Mac, phone) and what browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer) and what page you were looking at, or what you were trying to do, when the error occurred.

Q. Can I access the course on my smartphone or tablet?

A.  Yes! Read our Mobile Apps guide for Smartphones (iOS and Android) and Tablet guide for iPads. Canvas apps are free in iTunes and Google Play.

Q. How do I drop the course?

A. If you want to drop this course, read this guide to find out when and how you can do that. But remember, there are no minimum participation requirements so we encourage you to hang in there.
