Once your presentation and discussion are over, the next step is to handle the feedback from your reviewer. In the best-case scenario, the reviewer may say that your work is acceptable as it is, and no further changes are required. This outcome is rare, but it does happen occasionally. At the opposite extreme, a reviewer could conclude that the work is beyond acceptable and needs to be completely redone. Fortunately, this is also very rare.

The most common outcome is somewhere in between: your reviewer will give you a list of changes that need to be made. You will usually receive this list the same day or within a few days after the presentation. Formally, the reviewer has up to two weeks to provide you with this feedback. If you have not received the list after two weeks, please contact the course responsible to follow up.

Once you receive the list, your task is to revise your work according to the reviewer’s comments, as well as the feedback from your opponent during the presentation. You should aim to complete these revisions within 30 days. If you need more time, make sure to inform both your reviewer and the course responsible.

After completing the changes, send your revised thesis to the reviewer for approval. In some cases, you may need to go through this step more than once, making additional revisions until the reviewer is satisfied. Once your thesis is approved, ask the reviewer to confirm this by email.

When you have the reviewer’s approval, forward the approval email to:

Matilda Larsson (matil@kth.se) for HL205X, or
Maksims Kornevs (kornevs@kth.se) for HL207X.

They will do a final check to ensure everything is in order. After that, you will need to upload your thesis to KTH DiVA, the university’s digital archive where all degree projects are published. When you have completed the upload, send a short email to Matilda or Maksims to let them know. They will then register in Ladok that you have passed your degree project.

At this point, you are officially finished with your thesis and your degree project is complete!
