Examination
Exam Registration
Registration for exams is done via "Ladok for students." Here is information on how to register. If you encounter problems with registration, contact the student office.
If you have already passed but want to retake the exam to improve your grade (so-called plussning), you cannot register via "Ladok for students" but should instead register using a special form, which you can find at the student office. Participation is subject to availability.
Exam Sessions
There is one exam session after each study period. In study period 4, the session takes place during the re-exam period in June, while in study periods 1-3, the exam session takes place during the regular exam period.
Completion Exam
If you receive an Fx grade, you have the opportunity to complete the grade to a passing grade at a completion exam. The completion exam has a writing time of 45 minutes.

Note: Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, the exam format will change from a three-part exam (A, B, and C), with 2 x 6 points per part, to two parts (Part 1, Part 2) with 3 x 6 points per part. The grade thresholds for grades D-A will increase by one point compared to previous years.
Grading Criteria
Within the areas of single-variable calculus described in the course content, the student should be able to:
For Grade E:
- Solve simple problems, which may also require explanations of the meaning of fundamental concepts and theorems.
For Grade C, additionally:
- Solve more advanced problems in some part of the course content, where the problems may also be theoretical in nature.
For Grade A, additionally:
- Solve more advanced problems in several parts of the course content, where the problems may also be theoretical in nature.
The exam consists of two parts: Part 1 and Part 2, each giving a maximum of 18 points – including any bonus points on Part 1.

Allowed Aids
No aids are allowed during the exam.
Exam Rules
All exams follow KTH's exam regulations, which can be found in KTH's regulations. All participants in the exam are required to familiarize themselves with the regulations.
