You should only attend seminars designated for your program, i.e., you cannot attend seminars intended for other programs. To find the correct room and time for your program, see the schedule in TimeEdit.

Written test

At the beginning of each seminar, a written test is given. It is conducted during the first 30 minutes of the seminar and consists of two problems. Each problem gives 0 or 1 point. To get 1 point, both the correct method and the correct answer are required. The problems are at a similar level to Part 1 of the exam (Part A in the previous exam format).

The test is followed by a 20-minute break. Afterward, the teacher will go through the solutions to the test problems.

Extended time

Students entitled to extended time (FUNKA) should inform the assistant, and their writing time will be extended by 15 minutes.

Bonus points

The points from the tests give bonus points for the exam. The number of bonus points for the exam is calculated by adding the points from the seminar tests, dividing by 2, and then rounding up. For example, if you have a total of 7 points on the seminar tests, you get 4 bonus points for the exam. You can earn a maximum of 6 bonus points. The bonus points are added to the points earned on Part 1 of the exam, up to a maximum of 18 points. The total score on Part 1 can therefore be a maximum of 18 points, including bonus points.

Validity of bonus points

The bonus points are valid throughout the ongoing academic year (from August to the end of July). After that, they are no longer valid.

Re-registered students

If you have been registered for the course in a previous academic year and wish to participate in the seminar activities, you must be re-registered. You can only attend the regular seminars for SF1685, see TimeEdit.
