In this module, you will learn to

Language focus

Pronunciation

  • put the stress on the correct word, syllable and sound (vowel or consonant). Here you can train more in order to make the prosody automatic, that is, the rhythm and melody in clauses. 

Oral production

  • ask and answer simple questions with greater assurance than in module 1
  •  word order: continued practice of questions and statements
  •  have simple conversations about the weather 
  •  vocabulary: different types of weather, weather phrases
  • talk about yourself: your background, how you live, what you are studying or working as, how you get to work or university, what habits you have, what you are interested in, dream about…
  • talk about what you do and do not like
  • talk about another person
  • word order: continued practice of statements with normal and inverted word order, question-word questions and yes/no-questions
  • verbs: continued practice of the present
  • in-depth training of auxiliary verb + infinitive

  • Simple text linking with the co-ordinating conjunctions och, men, så, för

Oral interaction

  • general: take part in conversations in simple Swedish on personal or very well-known topics, if your conversation partner talks clearly and slowly
  • have a dialogue with staff in a café or restaurant, order food and drink
  • talk on the phone with someone you know a little
  • ask for an explanation when you do not understand
  • start and end a conversation in an appropriate way

Written production

  • write letters and mails in Swedish
  • write short narrative and descriptive texts
  • talk about your activities and interests

  • follow speech that is very slow and clear and which contains long pauses
