7. At a restaurant or café and at the dinner table

The waiter/waitress says:

Vill ni beställa? (Do you want to order?)

Är ni redo att beställa? (Are you ready to order?)

Har ni bestämt er? (Have you decided?)

Vad vill ni dricka? (What do you want to drink?)

Smakade det bra? (Did it taste good?)

Var det bra så? (Is that all?)

Betalar ni med kort eller kontant? (Will you pay by card or cash?)

Phrases at the dinner table

Kan du ge mig saltet, tack? (Can you give me the salt, please?)

Kan du skicka mig saltet, tack? (Can you pass me the salt, please?)

Varsågod! (There you are!)

Det luktar gott! (That smells good!)

Skål! (Cheers!)

Vill du ha lite mer? (Would you like some more?)

Ja tack! (Yes, please!)

Nej tack! Det är bra. (No, thank you. That’s fine)

Tack för maten! (Thanks for the food!)

Det var jättegott! (It was great!)

Det smakade utmärkt! (It was excellent!)

At a restaurant
