5.13 Vad har du på brickan? (What's on your tray?)

In this quiz, you will learn the following prepositions:

på   on

framför   in front of

bakom   behind

mellan   between

till höger om   to the right of

In Swedish, prepositions are often followed by the definite form of the noun. 

Examples: 

i glaset  (ett glas – glaset)

framför stolen (en stol – stolen)

Note also the verbs ‘ligger’ and ‘står’.

'Ligger' is used for flat lying objects i.e., a plate, and 'står' for tall standing objects i.e., a glass.

Examples:

Det ligger en tallrik på brickan.

Det står ett glas på brickan.
