Assignment 4 description

Assignment details

Since there is only 3 weeks until the final, you need to get started soon. Pick one of the following topics:

• BattleSnakes (playing 2vs2) link Links to an external site. (a simple cooperative snake game)
• Battle code link Links to an external site. (this is an MIT course that ran in January, but we just use the game setup)

You need to do the following:

1. Choose a topic and then find a partner who wants to do the same topic 
2. or Find a parter, and then pick a topic
3. Self assign to a group here (pick the right tab): $CANVAS_COURSE_REFERENCE$/groups#tab-26538
4. Self assign to a topic on the same page (different tab). Make sure your teammate choses the same topic.
5. At the lecture (30/4) we will finalize the groups and topics
   1. If you have not found a topic/partner before then you will have 15min at the lecture to find one.
   2. If you are not present, your partner can speak for you ("me and X are a group and will be doing topic Y")
   3. If you are not present, and no-one speaks for you, you will be assigned to a partner and a topic
6. You are not allowed to change topic or partner after that (as time is short and you need to be able to start working)
7. At the lecture, each topic group will be assigned a manager and deputy manager to synchronize rules etc.

 

Each set of groups agree on what the competition should look like, and what to adapt/extend to make the competition happen. (The topic managers lead/coordinate this work, aim for consensus, if not possible the manager decides)
