Computer Labs and Project
Computer Labs
The computer labs are to be solved by using Matlab in groups of two students. Students are supposed to form groups themselves, you can use the Find Group Partners discussion page to find partners. Computer labs 1-4 are reported by filling in a short form (which can be downloaded under the corresponding assignment in Canvas). All reports and forms should be handed in through Canvas under the corresponding assignment page. The corrected reports will be handed out via Canvas and an announcement will be sent out when it is ready. Students that do not pass, but have made an effort to solve all problems will get an opportunity to have an oral examination after making the required corrections to their reports.
PDFs of the computer labs and associated Matlab-files are found under files.
Note that the deadlines given below are strict and we do not accept any late hand-ins.
If you have any questions, please contact one of the TAs: vnfa@kth.se, jiabaoh@kth.se
Instructions
- Each group only needs to upload the final report once.
- No late submissions are allowed. If you are too late, you will not receive any grade.
- No plagiarism is allowed.
- Use the required template. Otherwise, the report will not be graded.
- Only include related figures. Please don't add unnecessary figures.
Schedule
There are two sessions, A and B, for each computer lab. Students can go to the session they prefer, however, try to stick to the groups you have been assigned to previously (Session A = Group 1, Session B = Group 2). These sessions are intended for you to work on and ask questions about the labs. They are not compulsory. . The teaching assistants will only be present during the first and last hour of each session to answer questions.
Note: The report deadlines in the videos are from last year. This year's deadlines are given below.

Project
The laboratory project considers a multivariable process whose properties can be modified to display a wide range of dynamical properties. The project is performed in groups of 4 students (students should form groups themselves) in the control laboratory, A:225, Malvinas väg 10, level 2. Registration for the laboratory will be available through Canvas. Note that you will need to book the same lab process (e.g., A, B, C, D) on both occasions. A written report should be handed in under the project's assignment page. The report should present the results in a systematic and concise manner.
The registration for Lab sessions will open April 18 (check the announcements page to find instructions on it). Available times will be in the period May 6-17. See message under Announcements for instructions for how to sign up for the lab.
Project deadline: May 24, 2024
