1.2 - NOT QPU Instruction

The lecture slides are available here Download here.

This lecture introduces the QPU NOT Instruction and how it acts on a single qubit. In the circle notation, the QPU NOT instruction corresponds to swapping the modulo and phase of the state I0> and I1>. In a quantum computer simulator, performing a QPU NOT instructions corresponds to swapping the complex-valued quantum state vector element. Note the QPU Instruction corresponds to a quantum transformation, so the transformation must be unitary (invertible and geometry-preserving).
