Project description

There is a mandatory small project in the course. The project has to be performed individually and is graded pass/fail based on the submitted report. You find the detailed requirements in the project description text and the submission deadlines under the Canvas Assignments.

We offer two projects this year. You have to solve one of them.

Suggestions and typical problems

Characters and texts (labels, captions) in figures and graphs should be possible to read in a printout. Please make sure you use a good font size. This is a very annoying, though typical mistake. Try to avoid it!

Results should be reasonable. E.g., the performance of a network should not degrade if the capacity is increased, the loss probability should not decrease if there are more lossy links to cross, the delay should not decrease with increasing load. These kinds of results are usually not reasonable, and show that you made some errors in your modeling or calculations.

Project submission

Submit through Canvas, see Assignments.

Peer review

You will receive another report to review, on the same topic as your own report.

Use this template to evaluate the report: review form Download review form

Example will not be provided. Do the review based on your own solution and own preferences on how a report should look like.

Upload your review, and read the review you received. You do not need to revise your project report, but you should learn from the review, so that you can improve your skills.
