Questions for Seminar 2

Peer review of Results sections. Questions to consider:

• Whole structure: Are the Results presented in a logical order (e.g. chronological, general-to-specific, or most important to least important?)
• Structure of paragraphs: One paragraphs – one idea?
• Explanations: Are figures, results etc. explained in the text?
• Is there a good connection between the text and the figures/tables?

 

Language and style:

• Is the style appropriate?
• Are there sentences that are too "chatty" or too complex and formal?
• Is there a good "given-to-new" information structure? (Sentences should begin with something already known or mentioned, and then move to something new.)
