Polymake

As a way to enhance learning we recommend using the software called Polymake. It can be downloaded from https://polymake.org/doku.php/start Links to an external site.

The program exists for different operating systems, but seems to be easiest to install on Unix. It can also be run in a browser in a restricted mode.
We have also asked KTH IT-support to install it into 2 computer rooms. We will post here when this is done.

We will prepare some tasks for you to get started on Polymake and we plan to help you get going by tutoring a few times during the course. This is the first time we try to use this software for teaching and will add more information depending on the outcome of the first labs. It is not mandatory, but we do believe it is a good way to learn about polytopes.
