The work is done by one or two people. The report contains 3 parts: measurements, analysis with the final answer how the circuit inside the box looks, and the simulation of the circuits with some measurements that confirms measurements from part 1.
There is no specific length of the report, as long as you con convince me that all your analysis is correct.
