If you miss a class or fail a quiz ...

... you'll get an assignment that looks like this:

If you missed the class: summarize each topic discussed in the class in 500-700 words per topic based on the slides and submit the summaries in one pdf. Missing class implies missing quizzes; make sure to include the outcome of the task below in the same pdf.

If you missed the discussion: (added due to conflict with DA2210 for some students): take the discussion questions from the respective <topic> links, discussion page and write up your answers in about 500-700 words and submit the resulting pdf.

If you missed or failed a quiz:  summarize the topic of each failed quiz in 500-700 words per quiz topic and submit it as one pdf. Use the required reading papers for the topics to write the summary, i.e.,  summarize both papers taken together in ca. one page.

Passing Criteria for Quizzes: You have to correctly answer at least 2/3 of the provided questions to pass the quiz. 

Deadline: The deadline for this assignment is until the next class day* first class day of the next week (until 18h), and you'll know whether you passed the assignment by the end of the same week.

Missed Deadlines: If you miss the deadline or what you submitted was not enough to pass then you have to summarize each required reading paper for the failed or missed quiz in 500-700 words per paper (not topic, thus doubling the length of your summary) and submit here.  For this, the deadline is until the end of the course, same as for the final report.

Plagiarism Checker: This assignment is checked for plagiarism issues. Do not directly copy-paste anything from papers or any other sources.
