Examination and grading criteria
Assignment and grading types
- individual assignments: quizzes, presentation, peer review
- group assignments: final report, quiz and discussion design, paper selection
- pass/fail only: make-up assignments, slides
- not graded: practice presentation, reading assignments
Operational grading criteria
- INL1= (0.75 * final report) + (0.25 * peer review)
(for grading criteria see rubrics in assignments and convert to percentages; canvas shows points)
- SEM1 = 0.5 * (paper selection + quiz and discussion design) + 0.5 presentation
(convert to percentages; canvas shows points)
- Course grade = (4 * INL1 + 3.5 * SEM1)/7.5, i.e. ca. average of both grades. If INL1 and SEM1 differ by 1 grade, then rounded to higher grade if quizzes > 85% correct, rounded down otherwise
