Study visit 1: Recycling

Time:  8 - 13 (or own time)

This study visit you perform on your own or two and two with "Covid distance". The assignment is an individual assignment though.

Make a visit to a recycling station or recycling center (preferably) in your municipality. Investigate the fractions sorted there and how this is done. Also check by asking the personnel or searching on internet/homepages what is done with these fractions after they are delivered by the consumer (in case the information is only given in Swedish you look for information about similar types of fractions for example paper waste) . Write a short report consisting of:

• Fractions sorted
• Homogeneity of the fractions (wrongly sorted items etc)
• Actors involved in sorting, handling and management of the sorted fractions
• Where the different fractions go after sorting and what is done to them

Include references and own photos from the site.
