Self-study material - Sensing and Perception

Below we provide a number of pages with material (videos, paper, pages, etc) for a number of topics connected to sensing and perception. This roughly summarizes what we expect you to know after the course. Many of you already know part of the material and some all of it. Instead of requiring that all of you go through all of it again we ask that you all look through the topics and assess what parts are new to you. If it is completely new to you, we expect you to go through the material that we provide and spend the time indicated below for that.

These pages are the starting point for the assignments but it will not always be enough to solve them. In the group work all members should be able to expect that everyone else in the group has at least the knowledge provided by these pages to provide a common language for the discussions.

If it is clear during the local examination sessions that someone does not have this knowledge we will formally ask this person to complete the quizzes connected to that topic. While it is obviously possible to look at the assignment first and try to minimize the learning to no more than what is needed for the assignment in question, we expect you to be mature and responsible enough to ensure that you acquire the knowledge conveyed by the material. There are some quizzes to help you with evaluating your knowledge.

Mandatory vs Optional

In the material that we provide we mark extra/optional material in RED. In quizzes a question that is optional is marked as giving 0 pts.
