Link to the KTH regulations (in Swedish)

English summary of the KTH regulations:

Regarding ILOs:

  • All intended learning outcomes should be assessed.

  • To pass a course, the student needs to fulfill all intended learning outcomes at a basic level.

Regarding grading criteria:

  • Grading criteria should represent the level of achievement of the ILOs and be coordinated with the course assessment.

  • At the course start, the grading criteria should be publically available in the course memo.

  • There should also be a statement on how the final grade is counted for, based on the judgments and grades within the course.

  • The examiner is responsible for the design of the grading criteria.

Regarding implementation of the grading criteria:

  • From autumn 2018 for new courses (given first time 2018/2019 or later)
  • From autumn 2019 for courses included in prerequisites for other courses
  • From autumn 2020 for all courses

Grading criteria should be stated for all modules in courses which have a graded scale as the final grade.

Pass/fail courses may use the ILOs as grading criteria.
