Zoom

Starting from period 4 (March 30), all lectures and tutorials are given via Zoom. The easiest is to use the Zoom app but you can also join in other ways, see below.

The lectures are not recorded but lecture notes will be uploaded afterwards.

Lectures and tutorials follow the ordinary schedule and starts quarter past as usual (first lecture, Monday March 30, 10:15-12:00). The Zoom-meetings start 15 minutes before to allow you to join earlier and chat to each other.

Some useful tips when using Zoom

  • You don't have to turn on video, or even audio, but seeing the students makes it easier for the teacher. An alternative may be to add a profile photo.
  • Keep your audio muted except when asking questions. You can keep space pressed to temporarily unmute. NB! Space doesn't work if you're currently in the chat.
  • You can signal that you want to ask a question by raising your hand. (default shortcut: Opt+Y)
  • You can also write questions in the chat. NB! The chat is not saved and disappears when the meeting ends.
  • Using a headset usually results in less noise when you are speaking.
