This page details the steps required for joining an online help session over Zoom.

Requirements

  1. Working microphone and (optionally) webcam. Please test that your microphone is working properly on Zoom before joining the help session.
  2. Have your questions and code ready.
  3. Before the help session starts, book a time slot with a TA.
    1. Choose the TA you would like to book a session with. You can consult the Profile of TAs  to see their research interests and expertise with deep learning frameworks.
    2. Under Syllabus , find the date of the help session and corresponding TA.

Once a session is booked, it will appear in your course calendar.

Joining a help session

When your booked time slot is about to start:

  1. In the left menu of the course, open Online Help Sessions

Modules page, showing a list of available online help sessions.

  2. Under "Online Help Sessions" find the entry matching the date of the help session and the name of the TA. The entry contains a link pointing to the Zoom meeting with the TA.

Please note that, in order to keep the management of Zoom meeting rooms as simple as possible, only a single entry is listed for each day and each TA, irrespective of time slots. Hence, to enter a help session, you have to click on the link corresponding to the day and TA you booked a slot with.

  3. When you enter the Zoom meeting, you will be automatically placed in a waiting room. The TA will manually admit you (and your project group members) to the help session once your booked time-slot starts. Importantly, please allow for a few minutes for the previous help session to finish.
