In short, there will be a written exam at the end of the course. Grades for the written exam are (C,D,E,Fx,F). A sample exam is found here Download here. Students who obtain the grade C in the written exam, can choose to take an optional oral exam to enhance their grades to (A,B).
Students who obtained the grade Fx in the written exam, can choose to take an optional oral exam to enhance their grades to E.
Correctly solved homeworks yield bonus points for the written exam as explained in the file above. The homeworks will be assigned on a bi-weekly basis (in total 8 homeworks) and need to be handed in before or at the beginning of the next lecture. Both hand-written and electronic solutions may be submitted. Bonus points expire by the end of the academic year 2019/20.

All exams are closed book with no aids allowed. Please note that you are not allowed to bring calculators, cell phones, tablets, smart watches, or any other electronic devices to the examination desk, even if the devices are turned off.
