Cisco’s Skinny

Cisco’s Skinny

Cisco’s Skinny Call Control Protocol (SCCP) is used in Cisco’s Cisco Unified Communications Manager, (formerly know as CallManager) - a proprietary protocol between the CallManager and their VoIP phones.

The CallManager acts much as a SIP UAS or UAC – while the physical/software “phone” mainly deals with the call content, with the audio carried via RTP over UDP.

Skinny messages use TCP port 2000

Skinny was originally developed by Selsius Corporation.

The message types formerly could be found at http://www.javvin.com/protocolSCCP.html.
