Unified communications (UC) - integration of both real-time (IM, presence, IP telephony, multimedia conferencing, … ) and non-real-time communications (e-mail, SMS, MMS, fax, …).

  • Sender sends a communication in their preferred format & Receiver receives the communications in their preferred format
  • Integrates communication with business processes
  • all via a consistent user interface (even when using different devices and media)

So that the sender sends it in their preferred format and the receiver gets it in their preferred format. All with a consistent user interface. And there is an interview with me in Mats Lundgren's "Bygg UC med genomtänkt kundrelation" some time ago. in a publication fr TDC about integrated services. This is one of the very hot things for companies. How do you really maximize the performance as seen by both the user who wants to send and the user who is receiving the information.
