Telephony Routing over IP (TRIP) [RFC 3219] Finding a route from the Internet to a gateway nearest to where the call should be terminated

Telephony Routing Protocol is modeled after the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

See also TRIP MIB definitions in RFC 3872 and providing TRIP with a way to provided prioritized services to certain callers (generally special government employees) - RFC 5115.
