Part of a note from an educational developer who looked at this module
I had asked for some feedback on the accessibility of a version of this module and I got a number of very constructive comments from an educational developer at KTH. One of these points was:
"Perhaps a side-note, but the text about graphical presentations doesn't mention that you should always have both a graphical presentation and a more accessible way to read the data if the graph isn't accessible. there's no reason to not include an accessible way to view the data just because an inaccessible one works better for most."
from an educational developer (pedagogisk utvecklare), KTH
This educational developer makes a very good and important point that when generating visual presentations we also need to keep in mind that there are people who will not be able to see these visual presentations and we need to provide an accessible way of providing the information. This means not only having a text caption for all tables and figures but also explaining in text what the image show. While I understand this as a long-term goal, it is going to be a long slog to get there - so this module remains a work in progress.
