Making a Quiz from an Assignment

If you have made an assignment and now want to make a quiz (so that you can have quiz questions that go with this assignment (for example, rather than having students submit a document/video/…) you either have to cut&paste or (if you are as lazy as I am) use a program. In this case I have written: make-quiz-from-assignment.py Download make-quiz-from-assignment.py

. It can be run as follows:

./make-quiz-from-assignment.py 2139 9594

Note that this is a very simple program it simply makes a new quiz with the same name as the assignment you specify and copy the description of the assignment as the description of the quiz. It does not copy the due date or other information.

While it might seem confusing that they both have the same name, you will see the new quiz under Quizzes. Once you have given it a due date it will show up in the Syllabus.
